外网天堂 has received $619,758 from the Ohio Department of Higher Education to expand STEM scholarships and workforce development for fiscal year 2026.
CINCINNATI — 外网天堂 (Mount) has been awarded $619,758 in Choose Ohio First funding from the Ohio Department of Higher Education to support STEM education and workforce development initiatives for fiscal year 2026. With this award, the Mount has received a total of almost $7 million in Choose Ohio First scholarships.
The latest funding for the Mount represents one of the largest awards made through the state’s Choose Ohio First program, Ohio’s signature STEM scholarship initiative designed to strengthen Ohio’s workforce pipeline in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields.
“This continued investment is a strong endorsement of the Mount’s commitment to preparing students for high-demand careers that will shape the future of our region and state,” said President H. James Williams, Ph.D. “Through this funding, we will continue expanding opportunities for students pursuing STEM fields, while helping meet workforce needs across Ohio.”
Choose Ohio First provides competitive scholarship funding to colleges and universities that demonstrate strong academic programs and meaningful partnerships with employers and regional industries. The program is aimed at increasing the number of graduates in STEM disciplines and retaining talent within Ohio.
The Mount plans to use the funding to continue supporting and growing opportunities for students pursuing STEM education and career pathways. “This funding helps ensure students have access to the resources, support, and learning experiences needed to succeed in today’s evolving workforce,” said Steve Almquist, Provost at the Mount. “We are grateful to the Ohio Department of Higher Education for its continued partnership and investment in Mount academic programs.”
The award was announced by Mike Duffey in a letter to the university. "外网天堂 has been an excellent partner with Choose Ohio First," Chancellor Mike Duffey stated. "The university sees the value of the program and knows it can be a game changer for its STEM students."
