Department Chair of Computer Science and Mathematics, Dr. Rebecca Allen Ph.D. was recently featured in a story by 91.7 WVXU highlighting the launch of the University's new Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence and AI Minor within the Department of Computer Science & Mathematics.
Dr. Allen discusses how these programs will prepare students for high-demand careers by pairing practical, high-value technical skills with a central focus on ethical, responsible AI use to strengthen Cincinnati's future workforce.
"We do have to be responsible in the students we're sending out into the marketplace," Allen tells WVXU. "There's a real wage premium for students who are able to work in various fields, management, accounting, marketing, and use AI."
