The Mount’s is excited to announce the launch of a new , beginning in Fall 2026. This stand-alone, one-year program requires no prior experience and offers students the chance to step directly into the fast-paced world of collegiate athletics.
Designed for students who are passionate about sports and interested in the communication side of intercollegiate athletics, the certificate provides hands-on opportunities within the Mount’s athletic department. Students will gain real-world experience managing social media, covering games, coordinating media relations, and helping build athlete and team brands. The program pairs especially well with majors such as , , and .
A distinctive feature of this new certificate is its partnership with College Sports Communicators (CSC)—a national organization founded in 1957 (formerly CoSIDA) and affiliated with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. CSC supports communications and public relations professionals across the intercollegiate athletics landscape, offering students valuable industry connections and professional development opportunities.
