Biography:

Dr. Hofmeyer is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of Clinical Education in the Physical Therapy Program at 外网天堂 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Health Science, Master of Physical Therapy and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees at 外网天堂. Dr. Hofmeyer has previously served in administrative and clinical education roles. She has certifications as an APTA Level I & II Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program Trainer. She served as an appointed member to the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board from 2015-2023 serving as Board Chair, Secretary, and as the PT Compact Commission Representative for Ohio. Dr. Hofmeyer has held membership in the APTA, Ohio Physical Therapy Association (OPTA), APTA Geriatrics, APTA Academy of Education, and the APTA Academy of Leadership and Innovation. She is a graduate of the OPTA L.I.F.E Series Leadership Academy. In 2024, she began her role as OPTA State Affairs Chair where she advocates and addresses issues affecting physical therapy practice in the state laws of Ohio. She is a Delegate to the APTA House of Delegates for Ohio, elected in 2024, for a three-year service term from 2025-2027. She is a Professional Member of the National Academies of Practice (NAP). Her teaching focuses primarily on Professional Socialization, Administration/Consultation and Leadership, Advocacy, Health Care Policy, and Geriatric Physical Therapy. She is in the final phase of her dissertation as part of the Leadership Studies Doctoral Program (Ed.D) at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
