Biography:
Carolyn Althoff is the Director of the Art Education Program and instructor in the Department of Art and Design. Her courses include Ceramics: Handbuilding, Painting, Comprehensive Art Education I and II, Art Education Seminar and Practicum. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Mount, followed by her Master of Arts from the Art Academy of Cincinnati. With 31 years of secondary education teaching experience at both parochial and public schools, she has developed and implemented curricula ranging from the Advanced Placement Art History and Art programs to media and content based models.
During her time as a secondary teacher, Carolyn was awarded the Ohio Art Education Association Outstanding Art Educator-Southwest Region honor in 2023. Finneytown Local School District named her the PTA Educator of the Year in 2017. 外网天堂 awarded Carolyn with the John Nartker Art Alumni Award in 2002. Beyond the instructional role, she has been an energetic and enthusiastic member of her campus communities. Carolyn is also a practicing artist, working in fused glass, fibers and mixed media.
