Our Fine Arts Major Supports Creative Individuals in Developing Specialized Skills Across Diverse Visual Arts Disciplines.
The Fine Arts Program is designed for the creative person seeking a career in the highly diverse fields of the visual arts. The Fine Arts Program includes courses in: art history, digital literacy, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and many others. The curriculum provides numerous opportunities for customization and specialization. Our highly accomplished faculty provide students with the guidance and mentoring needed to reach their highest potential and their post-graduation goals.
Students who successfully complete the fine arts major will:
- engage in the creative art making process, using imagery, methods and media to express and communicate ideas, feelings, experiences and aspirations.
- understand the formal, technical and expressive aspects in visual artworks, using critical skills to describe, analyze, interpret and evaluate such works.
- understand and appreciate the historical, social and cultural contexts of the arts and artists in societies past and present, while being equipped to enter the dialogue.
