In our Success+ program, you can unlock your academic potential, overcome challenges, and build the skills needed for success both in and outside the classroom.
About Our Program
Success+ is a nationally recognized support program designed for college students who benefit from consistent, individualized assistance. Established in 1982 and formerly known as Project EXCEL, the program has a long-standing history of helping students with learning differences thrive in higher education. Success+ offers a flexible, tiered model of support that includes executive function coaching, subject-specific tutoring, social skills development, and comprehensive academic support.
Through one-on-one sessions with trained professionals, students receive guidance in organization, time management, study strategies, and navigating social or academic challenges. Whether seeking targeted help or a full support package, students can tailor Success+ services to fit their unique needs. With a focus on building independence and fostering long-term success, Success+ empowers students to reach their academic goals and make the most of their college experience.
Eligibility
Success+ offers tiered support options available to a wide range of undergraduate students. Any undergraduate student may enroll in Executive Function Coaching or Subject-Specific Tutoring for 100-level math, science, or writing courses.
Students interested in the Comprehensive Academic Support package must have a documented learning difference and be registered with Student Accessibility Services through the Learning Commons.
Students who wish to participate in Social Skills Support must identify as neurodivergent.
Because space in the full Success+ program is limited, applications are carefully reviewed to ensure a strong match between student needs and available resources. Students applying for the full program should demonstrate average to superior intellectual ability and a commitment to actively engaging in support services.

Success+ is designed to support students in making a smooth transition to college life by fostering independence, building effective learning strategies, and promoting academic achievement. Our goal is to empower students to thrive in a traditional college environment through personalized, structured support tailored to their individual strengths and challenges.
Success+ offers a range of services to meet each student’s unique needs, including:
- One-on-one sessions with adult professional tutors
- Ongoing monitoring of academic progress and individualized academic counseling
- Scheduled coaching sessions to build organization, time management, and study skills
- Instruction in assistive technologies and learning tools
- Access to and training in speech recognition software
- Targeted instruction in reading strategies, content comprehension, and coping skills
- Academic advising with attention to learning profiles and goals
- Executive function support designed to foster independence and self-regulation
Success+ students are fully integrated into the 外网天堂 community. They pursue degrees in any major offered by the university and must meet the academic requirements of their chosen departments. Students benefit from a broad liberal arts education as well as career-oriented academic opportunities.
Program Fees
Success+ offers flexible, fee-based support options designed to meet the unique needs of undergraduate students. Students may choose individual services or enroll in the full Academic Success Package for more structured and consistent support. Financial aid and 529 College Savings Plan funds may be applied toward all program costs.
Service Options and Fees (per semester):
- Executive Function Coaching – $700
Weekly one-on-one sessions that focus on time management, organization, goal setting, and academic planning. - Subject-Specific Tutoring – $700
Weekly individual tutoring in one subject area. Available for 100-level courses in math, writing, or science. - Social Skills Support – $700
Designed for neurodivergent students, this support uses a neuro-affirming approach rooted in the highly respected PEERS® program for young adults. Weekly individual sessions focus on building meaningful relationships, reading social cues, and navigating social situations. The program also offers optional monthly group gatherings to practice skills in a supportive environment.
Interventions are delivered by a professional trained in the PEERS® model. This service is separate from academic support and may be purchased on its own or added to any other Success+ service. - Academic Success Package – $3,075
A structured, semester-long plan that includes one hour of subject-specific tutoring per week (per course) and weekly executive function coaching.
This package does not include Social Skills Support, which must be added separately if desired.
Program fees are reviewed annually and may change to better meet student needs.

Ready to Get Started?
Students must be admitted to 外网天堂 in order to participate in Success+.
Success+ is a separate, fee-based program distinct from other support services offered at the Mount, including the PASS Program. If a conditionally admitted first-year student is required to participate in the PASS Program and is accepted into Success+, they will not participate in PASS due to the depth and individualized nature of support provided through Success+.
